MAKER SPACE
A makerspace is a collaborative physical workspace where people gather to share tools, materials, and knowledge to build, invent, and create. They blend elements of art studios, workshops, and science labs, acting as community hubs that foster a hands-on, DIY mindset.
The Makerspace is open throughout the conference for you to take some time, be creative, apply what you have learned.
The spirit of this space is to provide YOU space. - Space to take time to reflect, create, collaborate, network, and learn from others.

It will offer:
Free space to play, make and create with found materials
Collaborative Art Work - set up by David Modler and Sam Peck
Workshop by Mousmi De: Cultivating Sustainable Cultures of Making: Transforming Makerspace Waste into Art and Meaningful Artifacts
that invites art educators to create original artworks and artifacts using discarded materials generated through makerspace technologies such as laser cutting and 3D printing. Participants will work with plywood offcuts, failed prints, support structures, and other byproducts of digital fabrication, exploring how these materials can inspire artistic inquiry, design thinking, and creative problem solving. Through hands-on experimentation and making, participants will reimagine these byproducts as resources for artistic expression while examining the environmental implications of waste within educational makerspaces. The workshop encourages participants to explore practical approaches for integrating sustainability into K–12 and higher education settings and to cultivate sustainable cultures of making that balance creativity, technological innovation, and environmental responsibility.
BUT...
It only works if we have materials.
So if you have materials, art supplies, recycled stuff taking up space in your studio that you no longer want - that giant cookie tin of buttons - BRING THEM - and donate them to the space.
